Quarterback settled, McCarthy in the fold, and a A- for the Bears.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ainias Smith tumbling to the Bears in pick No. 226 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Haynesworth has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
