A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a D+ weekend for the Bears.

The Bears treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 232 on McKade Mettauer a full 38 spots early. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Fashanu at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
