The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Elliss: A-. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bears came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
They will answer for taking safety early while running back and quarterback went begging. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
However the rest shakes out, Elliss at that price is a win they earned. The Fiske pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
