The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Michael Penix Jr., and the whole operation now runs on his development. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The Bullard pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
