Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a B for the Bears.

Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Reaching for Zinter left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
