Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesC- FutureA+
Larceny in the 123rd overall pick lands the Bears a B, Jackson and all.

Somebody in pick 123 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Khyree Jackson, the No. 84 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting Hicks proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In slot 6 they get a matchup problem out wide. A real need, handled.
Pick9 Rnd1 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In the 9th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
They paid sticker price for Chris Braswell in pick No. 39, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick63 Rnd2 Jaden Hicks
A reach for Jaden Hicks in No. 63; a little patience would have been rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick75 Rnd3 Sedrick Van Pran
Sedrick Van Pran at Round 3, Pick 11 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick111 Rnd4 Malik Washington
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Malik Washington in pick 111. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick123 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in the Round 4 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
They took Theo Johnson at par in the 132nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick203 Rnd6 Daijun Edwards
No edge and no loss on Daijun Edwards in Round 6, Pick 28; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
