The tape said wait; the Bears did not. Trajan Jeffcoat went at the 237th pick, a good 66 picks before the board was ready. Put together, it is a D+.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

Landing Wilson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
