The Bears answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: D-.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bears took Rondell Bothroyd at the 238th overall pick, roughly 72 spots before his name belonged. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
