Draft Grade — Vikings

The Vikings won the night they stopped Mullings from sliding. Grade: A-. When a board-topper like Kalel Mullings slides to Round 7, Pick 25, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Travis Hunter and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
In pick 25 they get a press-man option on the boundary, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
Pick97
Rnd3
Walter Nolen
Taking Walter Nolen in slot 97 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick243
Rnd7
Kalel Mullings
A running back of that caliber at the 243rd pick is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
