Draft Grade — Jets
Overall

FutureA
The Jets won the night they stopped Orange from sliding. Grade: A-. If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Jets, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend.
That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Allar pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In the end it comes back to Rueben Bain Jr., and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Rueben Bain Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33
Rnd2
CJ Allen
CJ Allen at pick 33 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick44
Rnd2
Omar Cooper Jr.
A quiet steal in Round 2, Pick 12: Omar Cooper Jr. for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick71
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Eli Stowers at the 71st overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick103
Rnd4
Domonique Orange
The board fumbled Domonique Orange all the way to pick No. 103, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick140
Rnd4
Drew Allar
They left a pile of value on the table to take Drew Allar this early at the 140th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179
Rnd5
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
A reasonable price with a little left over, Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the 179th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick228
Rnd7
Jadon Canady
A tidy little value on Jadon Canady in the 228th overall pick, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick242
Rnd7
Aiden Fisher
No drama and no debate, Aiden Fisher went about where he belonged in slot 242. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
