Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesC- FutureC+
The Broncos robbed the room for Johnson. Final grade: C+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Tez Johnson tumbling to the Broncos in Round 4, Pick 20 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Henderson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

Hit on Walter Nolen and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In pick 20 they get a disruptive interior force. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in slot 39 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick72 Rnd3 Jaylin Noel
They read the board right and Jaylin Noel was the payoff at the 72nd pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick85 Rnd3 Mason Taylor
Fair-plus on Mason Taylor, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson in the 122nd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick191 Rnd6 Drew Kendall
Drew Kendall in No. 191 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick197 Rnd6 Jarquez Hunter
Nothing to complain about; Jarquez Hunter went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick208 Rnd6 Jason Marshall Jr.
No edge and no loss on Jason Marshall Jr. in pick No. 208; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
