Draft Grade — Cardinals

Sarratt should have been long gone. The Cardinals pounced, and earned a C+. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cardinals watched Elijah Sarratt slide 38 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Payton Wilson gives the group a proven body among the projects.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
Jordyn Tyson in the Round 1 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick48
Rnd2
CJ Allen
CJ Allen in the 48th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick57
Rnd2
Xavier Chaplin
Nothing to complain about; Xavier Chaplin went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick97
Rnd3
Elijah Sarratt
Elijah Sarratt in the 97th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
