The Lions ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Horton steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If Tupuola-Fetui pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
