The phones were a trap the Broncos kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

They have staked the next five years on Drake Maye, which is the only story that really matters here. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Getting Simpson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
