After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Every board in the league had Simpson lower, and that gap is the story.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
