There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took James Williams Sr. a full 68 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. That Pavia pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
