The Amaris Williams selection is the head-turner. The Giants reached 49 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Mincey falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The veteran additions, Travis Hunter chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
