Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesD FutureA
The Seahawks lost the trade table, and the C+ tells the story.

The Seahawks spent real capital to be 61 picks early on Jack Westover, and the board is going to hold them to it. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver, linebacker and other spots.

The Williams steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at the 34th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick81 Rnd3 Javon Solomon
They bypassed pressing needs at wide receiver, linebacker and other spots to take Javon Solomon, an OLB-EDGE that was not the priority.
Pick102 Rnd4 Calen Bullock
A tidy bit of business in Round 4, Pick 2, where Calen Bullock graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick118 Rnd4 DeWayne Carter
A quiet steal in the Round 4 slot: DeWayne Carter for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick179 Rnd6 Zion Tupuola-Fetui
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zion Tupuola-Fetui this early at the 179th pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick235 Rnd7 Jack Westover
A big swing on Jack Westover at slot 235, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick249 Rnd7 Evan Williams
Evan Williams is a better player than slot 249 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
