The Seahawks let Johnson fall and pounced. Final grade: B+. The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Tez Johnson, the No. 100 name on the board, sitting there at Round 4, Pick 20 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Royals left real value on the table behind him. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
