The Steelers let Kiser fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Call it larceny. Jack Kiser sat on the board until the 231st pick, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In the 21st pick they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick52 Rnd2 Tyleik Williams
They let Tyleik Williams come to them and pounced at Round 2, Pick 20. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick83 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in pick No. 83 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick122 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce at the Round 4 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick163 Rnd5 Mello Dotson
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Mello Dotson in the 163rd overall pick, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick225 Rnd7 Jordan Hancock
Jordan Hancock at No. 225 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick231 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Somehow Jack Kiser was still sitting there in pick 231, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick247 Rnd7 Clay Webb
Clay Webb at slot 247 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
