FutureB
The Chiefs kept it disciplined and banked a B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chiefs did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.
However the rest shakes out, Emmanwori at that price is a win they earned. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The back end got a real overhaul. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick34
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nick Emmanwori at No. 34. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick63
Rnd2
Marcus Mbow
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Marcus Mbow at pick No. 63 is the proof. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
