Call it larceny. Kyle Monangai sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

If Simpkins III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
