More right than wrong for the Cowboys, and a B to prove it.

Nobody else had Hayden Conner anywhere near the 171st pick. The Cowboys did, by 94 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The bottom line is a respectable B.

However the rest shakes out, Royals at that price is a win they earned. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
