The Cowboys bet the future on Daniels. The board says D-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Jaylan Ford, 32 picks early at slot 174. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Dixon value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
