The Cowboys won the night they stopped Jones from sliding. Grade: B.

Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Sheridan Jones, the No. 221 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Powers-Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
