Draft Grade — Cowboys

FutureD
The Cowboys worked the phones like thieves and earned a B. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Cowboys were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need Clark to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In pick 12 they get a green-dot type in the middle. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick20
Rnd1
Jermod McCoy
In slot 20 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick42
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Anthony Hill Jr. in the Round 2 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick92
Rnd3
Bud Clark
Bud Clark at the 92nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A minor itch, scratched.
