The rest of the league had time to spare on Brady Cook; the Cowboys did not wait, grabbing him 142 spots ahead at slot 104. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Getting Higgins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
