A solid, sensible weekend for the Cowboys: B-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cowboys took Tyreak Sapp a full 94 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Cooper Kupp deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
