Draft Grade — Cowboys

FutureB-
The Cowboys won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Trey Moore. He came off 66 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Thomas.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
Arvell Reese at pick 12 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick92
Rnd3
Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez at slot 92 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick120
Rnd4
Isaiah World
Isaiah World at the 120th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick138
Rnd4
Jakobe Thomas
Jakobe Thomas in No. 138 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick150
Rnd5
Trey Moore
They left a pile of value on the table to take Trey Moore this early at Round 5, Pick 12. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick158
Rnd5
Treydan Stukes
They took Treydan Stukes at par in the 158th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick177
Rnd5
Bud Clark
This one needs a full-page explanation: Bud Clark in the 177th overall pick, miles early. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick215
Rnd6
Jadon Canady
They did well to land Jadon Canady in pick 215, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick221
Rnd7
Robert Henry Jr.
Robert Henry Jr. at Round 7, Pick 5 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick225
Rnd7
Fa'alili Fa'amoe
They reached a country mile for Fa'alili Fa'amoe at No. 225, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick234
Rnd7
Nick Barrett
Nick Barrett in the 234th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
