Draft Grade — Cowboys
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedA- TradesA+ FutureB-
The Cowboys worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Cowboys should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

The Jones reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On value alone, King makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.

Adding Isiah Pacheco by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Troy Franklin
In the 24th overall pick they get a matchup problem out wide. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick61 Rnd2 Kalen King
Somehow Kalen King was still sitting there in the Round 2 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick87 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni at slot 87 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick124 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
This one needs a full-page explanation: Beaux Limmer in the 124th pick, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick174 Rnd5 Christian Jones
Christian Jones in Round 5, Pick 38 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick212 Rnd6 Myles Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Myles Jones at pick No. 212, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Mark Perry
Mark Perry at pick 245 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
