No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys did not so much draft Malachi Lawrence as overpay for him, 35 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Roush. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
