When a board-topper like Joshua Farmer slides to Round 7, Pick 17, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
