Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The 49ers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The 49ers went off the board in a big way for Chase Bisontis, 36 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
In pick 26 they get a ballhawk on the outside. More want than need.
Pick57 Rnd2 Caleb Tiernan
A wild overpay on Caleb Tiernan in slot 57, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Chase Bisontis
A real head-scratcher, Chase Bisontis in the 91st overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126 Rnd4 Logan Jones
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Logan Jones well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jacob Rodriguez
They reached into another round for Jacob Rodriguez, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick139 Rnd4 Sammy Omosigho
A reach on Sammy Omosigho in Round 4, Pick 39; the board had better options right there. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick140 Rnd4 David Oke
They left a pile of value on the table to take David Oke this early at the 140th pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
