Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Jaguars: B-. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jordan Jefferson at No. 117 is 69 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
Getting Kinchens where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Cooper DeJean
Cooper DeJean at Round 1, Pick 17 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick48
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
A big swing on Cooper Beebe at the 48th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick96
Rnd3
Kamren Kinchens
They barely believed it either: Kamren Kinchens still on the board at the Round 3 slot. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick115
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
They jumped the gun on Johnny Wilson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick117
Rnd4
Jordan Jefferson
A wild overpay on Jordan Jefferson in pick 117, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick152
Rnd5
Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey at the 152nd overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick195
Rnd6
Daequan Hardy
Daequan Hardy in the 195th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick211
Rnd6
Javontae Jean-Baptiste
They talked themselves into Javontae Jean-Baptiste at No. 211, and the board did not agree. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick234
Rnd7
Ethan Driskell
A reach on Ethan Driskell in the 234th overall pick; the board had better options right there. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
