Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Jets won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+.

Nobody else had Horace Lockett anywhere near the 151st overall pick. The Jets did, by 47 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

That Washington pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Cayden Green
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
Pick11 Rnd1 Ellis Robinson IV
In the 11th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick12 Rnd1 KJ Bolden
In slot 12 they get a rangy last line of defense. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington at pick No. 46 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick74 Rnd3 LaNorris Sellers
Fair-plus on LaNorris Sellers, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick111 Rnd4 Raylen Wilson
No drama and no debate, Raylen Wilson went about where he belonged in the 111th pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick151 Rnd5 Horace Lockett
Value said wait; Horace Lockett in pick 151 says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick191 Rnd6 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
The board had Jermaine Mathews Jr. higher than Round 6, Pick 11, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick211 Rnd6 Yannick Smith
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Yannick Smith well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
