Call it larceny. Jalen Milroe sat on the board until Round 5, Pick 1, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They will need Pegues to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
