If confidence were a draft strategy, the Steelers would have aced it. Keaton Bills at the Round 5 slot is 68 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

McCormick at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
