The Commanders bet big and early on Jaylen Wright, 86 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. It is not that Eichenberg is a bad player; it is that the Commanders had louder needs to answer first.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Wilson at that price is a win they earned.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
