The Commanders found their guy under center in Maye: B.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

However the rest shakes out, Milton at that price is a win they earned. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Goncalves lower, and that gap is the story.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
