You build a draft on nights like this. Devin Neal had no business being available in Round 6, Pick 24, and the Commanders did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

If Wedig pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
