Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall

FutureB-
The Commanders kept it disciplined and banked a B-. The Commanders' one glaring miss is tight end, a need they left exactly as they found it.
That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Jalon Walker
A tidy little value on Jalon Walker in No. 29, a step better than break-even. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick61
Rnd2
TreVeyon Henderson
A reasonable price with a little left over, TreVeyon Henderson in pick 61. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick128
Rnd4
Hollin Pierce
The board had Hollin Pierce higher than slot 128, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick205
Rnd6
Kyle Williams
Fair-plus on Kyle Williams, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick245
Rnd7
Brandon Adams
Brandon Adams at Round 7, Pick 29 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
