More right than wrong for the Commanders, and a B- to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Commanders did exactly that with Micah Morris in the 232nd overall pick. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Roberts steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

In the 15th overall pick they get a premier pass rusher, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Pick77 Rnd3 Nicholas Singleton
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nicholas Singleton. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick155 Rnd5 Chase Roberts
Chase Roberts slid further than he should have, and pick 155 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They jumped the gun on Jaren Kanak, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

No edge and no loss on DJ Harvey in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Drayk Bowen in Round 6, Pick 35 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
