Larceny in pick No. 184 lands the Commanders a B, Simpson and all.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jaylin Simpson at the 184th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

Every board in the league had Harrell lower, and that gap is the story. Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with wide receiver, tight end and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
