Somebody in the 142nd overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Lathan Ransom, the No. 109 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

The Noel pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
