Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Colts were there to profit. Ricky Pearsall, the No. 200 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 242nd pick.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will need Lachey to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
