Robinson should have been long gone. The Colts pounced, and earned a B-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Layden Robinson, pick 193, roughly 19 picks past where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. They will need Bradley to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Jared Verse
Fair-plus on Jared Verse, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick46 Rnd2 Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick82 Rnd3 Devontez Walker
Steal is underselling it; Devontez Walker at the 82nd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick118 Rnd4 Matt Goncalves
Matt Goncalves in slot 118 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick163 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kitan Oladapo in No. 163. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick193 Rnd6 Layden Robinson
They robbed the room for Layden Robinson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick232 Rnd7 Tip Reiman
They did well to land Tip Reiman in the 232nd pick, just ahead of his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick247 Rnd7 Carter Bradley
They went early on Carter Bradley in pick 247, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
