Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Colts spent pick No. 249 on Kamran James, a name the board had a full 37 spots lower. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Stewart to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
