Of all the ways to open, the Colts chose the head-scratcher, spending slot 90 on Khyree Jackson with quarterback, tight end and other spots still wide open. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
