The Colts clearly saw something nobody else did in Isaiah Major, taking him 101 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Colts indulged a want in Smith while a need in quarterback, running back and other spots stayed open. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Puni.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
