Best value of the weekend goes to the Colts for Oladapo: B-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Kitan Oladapo tumbling to the Colts in pick No. 193 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Sanders to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Laiatu Latu
In slot 15 they get a premier pass rusher, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
Ja'Tavion Sanders
Ja'Tavion Sanders at Round 2, Pick 14 is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick82
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
A reasonable price with a little left over, Christian Haynes in No. 82. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick118
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Khyree Jackson in pick 118. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick150
Rnd5
Edefuan Ulofoshio
Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 150th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick193
Rnd6
Kitan Oladapo
The board fumbled Kitan Oladapo all the way to pick No. 193, and they scooped it up. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick232
Rnd7
Steele Chambers
They paid sticker price for Steele Chambers in the Round 7 slot, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
